Born in Fukui Prefecture in 1964. Dropped out of the Faculty of Science at Nagoya University. Made his debut in 1999 with "Scissors Man," which won the 13th Mephisto Prize. His works include "Mino Beef," "Black Buddha," "Sunday in the Mirror," "Chimera's New Castle," and "The Children's King."
