Hisham Akira Bharoocha is a multimedia artist based in Brooklyn, New York, working across various mediums including large-scale murals, paintings, drawings, collages, audio/visual installations, and performances. For commissioned work he is represented by Hugo & Marie, and for fine-art he is represented by Snow Contemporary in Tokyo.

Active in a variety of fields, including visual art, music, design, fashion, and photography, he is one of the leading figures in New York's current cultural scene. His work spans a wide range, from installations to paintings, collages, and photography. He was a former member of noise rock band Black Dice + Pixeltan and producer and director of Boredoms' 77BOADRUM. After touring with Boredoms for eight years, he launched Kill Alters. He produces electronic music both solo and under the pseudonym YOKUBARI. As a DJ, he has appeared on Brooklyn's The Lot Radio, Rinse FM, and NTS.
